The Moto G4 Plus ticks all the boxes I need and the price is amazing.
This phone has 3GB RAM, 32 GB storage, plus MicroSD expansion. It is running stock Android Nougat 7.0. It also has a future promised upgrade to Android O.
It does most things very well and once you put it in a protective case, it is just as impressive as the phone that cost four times the price.
I've wanted a Samsung Note for a few years. The time came when I needed a new phone, so I did a lot of research. I looked at all the major models except for iPhone, because I'm sticking with Android.
I found that there are several good phones at less than half the price of the S7 and the Pixel.
